The scholar's lamp

Neither for nor against. The outcome depends on what you do next.

The verse

One lamp in the whole dark street,
The pages turning past midnight.
Nobody sees the hours; everyone sees the result.
Trim the wick and read one chapter more.

What it means

Study and unseen effort. What you want comes through learning, slowly and without applause, and the lot says the hours are being counted somewhere even if nobody is watching now. It is a fair lot because it promises nothing you do not earn page by page.

What lot 43 says for

Love: Learn the other person properly. Attention is the whole courtship this season.
Work and study: Qualify, train, read the manual. Expertise is your way up, not charm.
Money: Understand it before you act on it. A month of reading saves a year of regret.
Wellbeing: Late nights have a cost. Study early, sleep on time.
Home and travel: A plan that needs research. Do the research.

Take away

One chapter more, then bed.

Drew this at a temple?

Temples use different sets, most of them a hundred lots, and ours is a set of fifty, so the verse on your slip will not match ours and the grade can differ. Treat the number as a fair guide if it is fifty or under, and read the verse on your slip first; the image on it is the real answer. Here is how to shake for yourself.

A stick is one question. Your chart is all of them.
