Fortune sticksLot 27 of 50Great luck
The phoenix lands on the roof
The top grade. The way is open; act.
The verse
A flash of colour on the plain tiles,
And the whole street comes out to look.
Not every house is chosen, and not twice;
Open the door, lay the table, light the lamps.
What it means
A rare blessing. The phoenix is the sign of a marriage, a birth, an honour, a once-in-a-decade piece of luck, and the lot says it is landing on your roof. It asks only that you receive it properly: open the door, make the room, do not stand in the street pretending it is for someone else.

Drew this at a temple?
Temples use different sets, most of them a hundred lots, and ours is a set of fifty, so the verse on your slip will not match ours and the grade can differ. Treat the number as a fair guide if it is fifty or under, and read the verse on your slip first; the image on it is the real answer. Here is how to shake for yourself.
A stick is one question. Your chart is all of them.
